Are you a square peg in a round hole?

Driving down hill on The Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia Canada

The journey can be bumpy

My entire life I tried to fit in.

A square peg in a round hole.

Trying to be what I thought you wanted me to be. A chameleon.

Whatever the situation called for, that’s who or what I would be.

The truth is, I didn’t know how to be myself because I didn’t know who I was.

I required everything and everyone outside of me to define me.

As a result, I was lost, confused, hidden, invisible.

The journey has been one sweet ride.

A bumpy, windy hilly road, but oh so worth it.
