Find your hidden treasures
As a child I was always cautious and afraid to step fearlessly into situations like the others.
I would hold back, checking the space to ensure my surroundings.
I had to walk slowly, check things out, stand for awhile and then gradually feel my way, energetically, into the space.
This made me feel awkward and shy.
I thought this was a sign of constant fear and anxiety.
Little did I know that I had gifts.
The gift of “seeing” and feeling the energy of people.
When I saw their light or felt their darkness, I didn’t know that not everyone could see and feel those things.
I still move with caution and I am more sensitive to loud noises and crowds.
I have just learned to live amongst the occasional sharpness of this world. Yet, these gifts now serve me well.
Perceived weaknesses can sometimes turn out to be a tremendous strength.
Have you found the treasure hidden behind what once tripped you up?
Look again, I bet it’s there.
