Grab hold of the spark of life
Are you looking forward to your future or continually looking toward your past?
This habit, for me, can lead to morbid reflection if I’m not careful.
If I find myself reliving the past it’s because it draws me into its grip by its shiny exterior to stare at and dwell there. “Don’t do it. It’s a trap!”
Dwelling on those parts of our history we may regret does not change anything in our present or future. Unless we go there to make amends or forgive, or of course, to remember special moments.
By ruminating on negative, we rob ourselves of the beautiful gift of the present, which really is the only guarantee we have.
Right now.
Life is happening now. My wish for all of us is that we grab hold of every glorious spark of joy we can.
